Spreading Smiles

This program covers a wide variety of things we do with the sole purpose of bringing smiles to these young warriors. We distribute smile bags with fun items for the kids to get around holiday times (Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas). To help make the rooms more cheerful, we donate wall decals for inpatient kids to personalize their rooms. When you spend countless nights in a hospital, the food gets old fast. We’ve been able to do lunches for inpatient kids and their caretakers. People from around the country have sent us messages when they hear of a childhood cancer warrior in need of cheer, and we send out care packages to these children. We’ve also helped with wish requests.  We provide joy to kids at Dell Children’s Hospital through a subset of this program, Sunshine Hearts of Austin (refer to the Sunshine Hearts tab on the left side of this page for more info).
